Service and strong customer orientation

Since the 1980s, Medas has been handling the billing of private and self-pay medical services, thereby significantly reducing the administrative burden on medical practices. The Medas clearing house issues over a million invoices annually with a volume of 230 million euros. Seventy employees look after more than 1,600 customers. What makes this unique is that each customer has a designated personal contact person who is permanently responsible for billing as well as for queries and correspondence with the patients or insurance companies concerned.

With Medas, the calculation adds up

When preparing invoices, our consultants pay particular attention to the accuracy and plausibility of the respective fee schedules – be it GOÄ, UVGOÄ, GOP or GebüH. These are all very comprehensive sets of rules and regulations which, with their respective fee regulations, form the binding basis for invoicing. At Medas, we make sure that our billing experts are always up to date with the latest fee schedules. This is the only way to ensure that reimbursement problems are minimised and, in some cases, even generate an increase in turnover. In addition, Medas provides regular updates on new developments, offers seminars for your practice team and, on request, can compare your practice's performance with other practices in the same field.

Full range of services

In addition to providing invoicing services, Medas consultants are available to answer questions from insurance companies and private patients in person. They also take care of receivables management and consistently follow up on outstanding payments. As a further service, Medas offers advance payment of invoices, enabling reliable liquidity planning. This range of services can significantly reduce the administrative workload in medical practices.

Growth market healthcare

According to the Federal Ministry of Health, the healthcare industry has been expanding for years. With annual growth of 3.8 per cent over the past ten years, the healthcare sector is growing faster than Germany's gross domestic product. Demographic change, with an increasing number of ageing people, is contributing to a steady rise in demand for treatment and examination methods.
