FATH GmbH receives mezzanine capital

BayBG supports FATH GmbH through a silent investment.

In doing so, it promotes the further growth of this award-winning company.

FATH GmbH: Award-winning mechanical engineering company with growth potential

BAYERNS BEST 50: Under this title, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs awards a prize to companies "that have proven to be particularly strong in growth and [...] have been able to increase their number of employees and their revenue at an above-average rate." In 2023, FATH Industrieholding GmbH also received this award – among other reasons, because of the company's sustainable growth.

The international group of companies, headquartered in Spalt, Middle Franconia, now employs around 500 people worldwide and supports its customers in building an industrial ecosystem where all components seamlessly integrate. These include machine components made of aluminum profiles, LEAN products, components for conveyor and sorting systems, and digital solutions. The company's goal is to increase customer productivity and improve the work experience for its employees. Therefore, FATH focuses on the interaction between people, machines, and materials.

With courage and energy to a diversified group of companies

The ability to recognize trends and the courage to consistently seize emerging opportunities are the foundation for FATH's strong development in recent years. Founders Wido and Mirko Jan Fath have demonstrated this since the company's founding in 1989. With early internationalization and the necessary expertise, FATH has grown from its Franconian Lake District roots to become one of the world's leading developers and manufacturers of aluminum profile system components within three decades. Today, FATH's products and solutions form the backbone of manual and automated production processes and are used in special-purpose machinery and plant engineering.

The signs continue to point to growth

FATH expectes further growth in the coming years. The company plans to expand its customer-specific mechanical engineering components and its standard components business. The expansion of the technology portfolio of its intralogistics subsidiary, Flowsort, will also make a significant contribution to this growth momentum.

Furthermore, FATH has established itself as a key partner to the most renowned manufacturers of solar mounting systems. Amid the rapid growth of the solar industry, FATH is meeting the significant demand for components such as solar module clamps, aluminum roof hooks, and various plastic accessories. Due to geopolitical circumstances, the production of these parts in Germany and Europe plays a crucial role. FATH has once again demonstrated its entrepreneurial drive and significantly expanded its capacities, including new production facilities in Röttenbach, Middle Franconia, and in Eastern Europe.
